WWE SUMMERSLAM 2023 FULL MATCH CARD PREDICTIONS

The Biggest Party of Summer takes place in Detroit after a series of major WWE events overseas.

One of the biggest events, WWE SummerSlam, heads to Ford Field in Detroit. On Saturday, Aug. 5, SummerSlam will take place, and as the day approaches, the card is starting to take shape.

Here is the list of  Confirmed matches for WWE SummerSlam 2023:

• UNDISPUTED WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP: ROMAN REIGNS (C) VS JEY USO 

Reigns vs. Uso at WWE SummerSlam is the matchup that seems most likely. In a tag team Match at Money in the Bank, Jey Uso gave Reigns his first pinfall defeat in more than three years. On SmackDown, Reigns and Solo Sikoa hurt Jimmy Uso, forcing Jey Uso to exact revenge on his own.

• CODY RHODES VS. BROCK LESNAR

 With Rhodes winning their first encounter in Backlash and Lesnar exacting revenge at Night of Champions, Rhodes and Lesnar have a tie in their series. The following evening after Money in the Bank, Lesnar returned to programming to carry on his battle with Rhodes. In the Raw episode from July 17th, the trilogy is officially Set for SummerSlam.

• WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: SETH ROLLINS (C) VS. FINN BALOR

Balor has been defeated by Rollins at every turn, which has only fueled his thirst for retribution. in SummerSlam 2016, Balor defeated Rollins to become the first universal champion. However, he had to forfeit the championship right away because of an injury he sustained in the fight. Balor was committed to giving Rollins, the first-ever heavyweight world champion, a long-delayed receipt. Balor is still after Rollins and his belt after Rollins defeated him in their title battle at Money in the Bank.

• RONDA ROUSEY VS. SHAYNA BASZLER

At Money in the Bank, Baszler betrayed her longtime friend, Rousey, allowing Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the women's tag team championships. Baszler grew tired of Rousey being given favorable situations based only on her name. These two will Clash at SummerSlam.

• INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: GUNTHER (C) VS. DREW MCINTYRE

At Money in the Bank, McIntyre made a huge comeback to face off against intercontinental champion Gunther, setting up a one-on-one contest at SummerSlam. Their WrestleMania triple threat, which also included Sheamus, was hailed as one of the best matches in WWE history. Their Match will be Glorious. 

• UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: AUSTIN THEORY (C) VS. LA KNIGHT

On SmackDown, Theory announced an invite for the US championship. LA Knight will compete against Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and Cameron Grimes. Knight is in need of a breakthrough performance because he has been getting some of the largest crowd reactions among any superstar.

• BECKY LYNCH VS. TRISH STRATUS

Lynch has been dealing with Stratus and his protege Zoey Stark for several months. At Night of Champions, Stratus used Stark's assistance to defeat Lynch in their ideal match. Since then, Lynch has carried a grudge and vowed to challenge Stratus to a rematch at SummerSlam.

• WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: ASUKA (C) VS. BIANCA BELAIR VS. CHARLOTTE FLAIR

Belair and Flair are always obstructing one another. Asuka's championship defenses have frequently been marred by rivalry between the contenders regarding who is the most deserving of the crown. At SummerSlam, it's likely that all three of the women will compete against one another, with Money in the Bank champion Iyo Sky Watching in the background.

• WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: RHEA RIPLEY (C) VS. RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ

On Raw, Ripley, and Rodriguez got into a fight backstage that might have hinted a match between the two heavyweights at SummerSlam. Backstage, Ripley attacked Rodriguez. Rodriguez's fictional injury led to her and Morgan's loss of the women's tag team championships to Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.

• UNDISPUTED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN (C) VS. JUDGEMENT DAY

It's difficult to imagine that WWE would exclude two highly regarded superstars like Owens and Zayn from back-to-back huge events. On Raw, Owens, and Zayn successfully defended their championships against Priest and Dominick  Mysterio. But there is a possibility that  WWE will make their rematch at WWE SummerSlam.
